The “acatech HORIZONS” series explores technology fields that are fundamentally transforming our everyday lives but are still affected by uncertainty concerning their potential impacts. In this series, acatech aims to analyse and evaluate these technologies in a manner that is comprehensive but also clear and easy to understand. The “acatech HORIZONS” publications are the product of a broad dialogue process. An advisory committee comprising figures from science, industry and civil society helps acatech to select the topics covered by the series.
