Parliamentary events
acatech provides policymakers and society with advice on issues related to the future of science and engineering as well as technology policy – advice that is independent, evidence-based and in the public interest. The Academy uses various formats for parliamentary discussion in order to engage regularly with decision makers at national and state level.
acatech provides powerful structures for science-based dialogue on issues related to technology and innovation policy: experts from science, industry and society – whose role in the Academy is voluntary – jointly develop action plans and contribute these to the political debate. Parliamentary expert and background talks or round tables from the “acatech am Mittag” series of parliamentary events facilitate an intensive exchange of positions, views and information in a protected space.
