Ethics Briefing – Guidelines for a Responsible Development and Application of AI Systems (White Paper)

Self-determination, justice, and protection of privacy and personality – these ethical values are central to the development and application of AI systems. After all, they enable trustworthy products and services, which is considered a prerequisite for the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence. Based on these central values, members of Plattform Lernende Systeme have defined concrete criteria for the responsible development and application of AI systems. The criteria, summarized in a guideline, serve as orientation for developers, providers, users and affected parties of AI systems. In addition, the white paper presents best practice examples for responsible technology development and application processes in selected companies.
