20 Years at the Cutting Edge. From Invention to Innovation

It is 20 years since the founding of “akatech”, the association that gave birth to acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering in 2008. Entitled “20 Years at the Cutting Edge – From Invention to Innovation”, the commemorative publication celebrates the Academy’s history and looks ahead to what its future may hold. The work of acatech is funded by the federal government and all federal states. The publication includes comments on the role and function of the Academy by politicians such as Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger, EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel and the Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Söder.
