The acatech HORIZONS Podcast
“Late Night Tech” is a podcast for everyone who is up for science, technology and community insiders. Christina Müller-Markus and Dr. Sandra Fendl from the acatech HORIZONS team talk with well-known experts about current topics. A podcast from acatech, the National Academy of Science and Engineering.
What can artificial intelligence (AI) already do today and why is it important for Germany as a production location? Where are we on the path to integrating AI into our lives, how are we positioned internationally? Is “AI Made in Europe” still a pipe dream or are our companies doing well in successfully implementing this new technology?
Behind the buzzword AI is actually a tool to drive digitization and secure Germany as a business location and thus our prosperity. However, a technology will only be successful if it is accepted by society. It is therefore essential to educate politicians, industry and employees and allay their possible fears and reservations. The focus must therefore be on AI technology that complements and does not replace humans in their work. In this fourth issue of HORIZONTE, acatech would like to dispel myths and possible dystopias surrounding AI in industry.
