Research Council Industrie 4.0 welcomes Marc Hüske as a member
Munich, 07 August 2024
The Research Council Industrie 4.0 welcomes Marc Hüske as a new member. The current 31 representatives from science and industry identify research-based solutions for the further development and implementation of Industry 4.0. The topics of sustainability, resilience, interoperability, technological sovereignty and the central role of people are becoming increasingly important. The Research Council Industrie 4.0 coordinated by acatech advises the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Plattform Industrie 4.0 in particular.
Marc Hüske is now contributing his extensive expertise to the Research Council Industrie 4.0. He has headed the Manufacturing-X forum at VDMA e. V. since 2024 and is responsible for the transfer of project results as a sub-project manager in Factory-X. Prior to this, Marc Hüske worked for more than 20 years in various management positions in laser mechanical engineering with a focus on the initialisation and implementation of new technologies. During this time, he was a member of the board of the VDMA Photovoltaic Production Equipment Division. Marc Hüske studied electrical engineering at the University of Hanover, specialising in microelectronics, and completed his doctorate at the Institute of Materials Science in the field of laser measurement technology as part of research work on plasma fusion cutting.
As the largest network organisation and an important voice for mechanical engineering in Germany and Europe, the VDMA mediates between the Research Advisory Council and a large number of users of Industry 4.0. We are therefore delighted that the VDMA will continue to have a highly competent representative on the Research Council Industrie 4.0.
Harald Schöning (Software AG), Spokesperson Industry of the Research Council Industrie 4.0
Dietmar Goericke (VDMA e.V.), Jürgen Gausemeier (Heinz Nixdorf Institute, Paderborn University) and Michael ten Hompel (Fraunhofer IML, TU Dortmund University) have left the Research Council Industrie 4.0.
The VDMA is an important partner of the Industry 4.0 Research Council Industrie 4.0. We would like to thank Dietmar Goericke for his work as a representative of the VDMA and look forward to working with his successor Marc Hüske in this role. We would also like to thank Mr Gausemeier and Mr ten Hompel for their contributions and wish them all the best.
Peter Liggesmeyer (Fraunhofer IESE), Spokesperson Science of the Research Council Industrie 4.0
