acatech intensifies cooperation with the Japan Productivity Centre in executive development
Tokyo, Japan, 05 February 2026
acatech has further expanded its partnership with the Japan Productivity Centre (JPC). An interactive event held on 5 February 2026 focused on strategic leadership issues and the challenges of technological transformation facing young executives from Japanese companies.
The event added a new learning module to the existing cooperation between acatech and the JPC. It was aimed at young executives from various industrial sectors and offered a combination of structured keynote speeches and interactive discussion rounds. The aim was to deepen the exchange on current leadership challenges, the management of innovation processes and long-term competitiveness in times of rapid technological change.
The event was led by Michael Dowling, member of acatech and Chairman of the Board of MÜNCHNER KREIS. Based on the Deep Tech Manifesto, participants discussed how technological excellence can be translated into sustainable economic and social impact. Particular attention was paid to institutional frameworks, risk culture and the role of managers.
With this third qualification format in cooperation with the JPC – building on previous events with Henning Kagermann – acatech is underlining its commitment to a leadership dialogue with Japan. The cooperation with the JPC is a cornerstone of acatech’s international activities in the field of science, technology and innovation exchange with Japan.
